What's In It Wednesday
Every Wednesday we'll bring you "What's In It Wednesday". A blog about what's in typical bath and beauty products, including the good, the bad and the ugly. We want you to know what we use or don't use in our products and why!
This week's ingredient is one of the essential oils we use in our soaps: Safflower. Essential oils are liquids containing aroma compounds from plants. They are not really oils, but called this because they don't mix well with water.
This essential oil does double duty! Safflower oil is used as a natural dye. It is also used in cosmetics to soften the skin and help form a protective barrier to keep moisture in.
